According to the 2007 edition of the Swanepoel Trends Report EXIT Realty is ranked as the leading “New” National Real Estate Franchise brand, ahead of Help-U-Sell, Weichert Realtors, Sotheby’s Real Estate and Avalar.
     Founded in 1996 in
Ontario, Canada by Steve Morris, EXIT Realty entered NJ roughly eigth years ago. Today with 1,258 franchisees and 43,000+ recruited , EXIT has become one of the 10 largest real estate companies in Northern America.
     Widely accepted as the leading publication on change and trends in the real estate industry, the 159-page Swanepoel Trends Report for 2007 provides a thorough examination of the top 10 trends shaping the industry, its participants and the way houses are bought and sold. According to the Report more than 55% of all real estate transactions are done through a real estate company affiliated with one of the 20 national real estate franchises.
     Franchising was introduced to the real estate industry three decades ago and since that time it has surged ahead as the most successful business model of all time, states the Report. Furthermore, Swanepoel noted that “similar to the way RE/MAX reshaped real estate brokerage in the 70s and 80s, it appears that EXIT is ordained to re-engineer the real estate broker/agent relationship during the first decade or two of the 21st century.”
